WHAT?! The two week blog tour is over???!!! I can’t believe it. Booooooo. But holy moly! What an amazing trip around the interwebs it has been. I’m in awe of what people, friends, are making. From dresses, to quilts, to poufs, to pillows, to bags, to pencil cases, to pouches and everything inbetween, I love how everyone is making some stellar goods from Paper Obsessed.
In this last leg, I wanted to introduce you to the Correspondence Mini Quilt pattern that we wrote specifically for this collection.
In just nine fat quarters, you’ll have the CUTEST little project to give to your paper loving quilty friend (and leftover fabrics to play with for yourself).
So I was inspired to create a line of fabric that would function as mail. Remember way back when (ok, it was October) I had an all call for friends to send me mail for my booth at market? The response looked like this:

I’m happy to report that I’m 73% the way through on making good on my promise of addressing everyone who sent me mail. I’m ALMOST DONE!!! Yahoooo. I’m so sorry it is taking me longer than expected. But I guess this is the time that I should reveal that sometimes my Christmas cards don’t go out until June / July. I remember one year I just drove around and put them in people’s mailboxes in the middle of summer. You know, just to save on stamps or whatnot. 🙂
I will not fail in returning correspondence to you. You took the time to write, I’ll get this done. Promise. And for everyone who wrote to me, I have included a sweeeeeet surprise in the envelope.

It’s been my dream to take a few of my sewing buddies on a weekend retreat — my treat. I have it set up for June 2017 to celebrate a couple of milestone birthdays.
My dream is to open a quilt shop and studio when I retire or if I win the lottery (the latter needs to happen first though!!!)
This has been a great blog tour of a truly unique collection with some awesome projects. I love stationery so enjoyed the collection and the projects immensely. Kudos to you for your creative works. My long time dream is to retire in a tropical place and have some type of enjoyable business. So I have spent time doing research on making this happen (analyzing costs, services to provide, ex pats blogs/experiences, etc) and working on my products. I discussed with a friend of opening a condo retreat in Belize or St. Lucia. I am gonna get there.

Learning to sew was one of my dreams. I bought a sewing machine and just started but is not easy…..
My dream is to try out some free motion quilting, I’ve purchased the foot for my machine…. now I just need to take a deep breath and take the plunge!

What a fun mini!! This has been a great blog hop. I love the theme of the fabric as I am a proponent of snail mail. Who doesn’t love to receive something other than junk mail?? As far as holiday cards, I usually send them out each Christmas but last year I skipped it. It makes me sad to see how few people send them out. This year I will send them again though.

I’m pretty good about sending things out on time, but I’m not good about responding to letters/emails in a timely fashion if they aren’t urgent. :S
The latest I’ve ever been is still an open question. My friends got married 4 years ago this July, and said they didn’t want wedding presents. They have everything. So I thought, gee, I have a year, I’ll wait until something strikes me. Nothing has, until recently when I thought of a gift certificate to the (very expensive) restaurant where they go each year to celebrate their anniversary. Two days ago I received an email of the view from their table at their anniversary dinner – I missed the date. So maybe for their 5th anniversary…
I’m embarrassed to admit my niece got married last October and I have yet to send her a wedding card. 😳

The latest I’ve ever been sending holiday cards was last year when I sent Christmas cards on Valentine’s Day.
I’m good at everything but Wedding presents that need mailing. Once the people were divorced before I got the present mailed. Oh well, I tried.
What a joy this hop has been and what talent those bloggers have! I am almost always very punctual with sending cards and gifts…it’s my husband who isn’t. When I have to wait for him to sign cards or write a note inside, the cards are usually late. No more than a week though. People would probably be shocked if they got a card from him on time.
I was about 11 months late giving my friend’s wedding gift, but I was within the 1-year window, so it wasn’t really late, right? 😉

My sisters and I finished a wedding quilt for my brother in time for their 15th wedding anniversary. Love this fabric line and associated patterns. Thank you.
I missed sending out Christmas cards one year, so I just ended up sending Valentines cards instead. The recipients still appreciated them.
Wouldn’t you know it, the latest I’ve been is a quilt for my brother’s graduation. I’m going on 6 years now.
When my daughter was born last year, I received a gift from one of my parents friends. The thank you card arrived with pictures of her first birthday…

The latest I’ve been is probably a couple of months. That was my sister’s quilt that I didn’t want to mail but gave to her in person later. Now it hangs in her living room! I get to visit it whenever I’m there.
My Christmas cards got later and later each year until they became New Year’s cards and eventually I just gave up. Simplify life!

I used to send holiday cards out right after Thanksgiving, but recently I’ve sent some as late as Dec 28.
I don’t consider a birthday card a few days late, I just consider the birthday is lasting longer.

Is this stinky? I’ve never missed that I know of. Christmas cards two days before Christmas–but I made it. Can I play anyway????
I was almost a year late giving a friend her wedding present, but I had a good reason. It was a hand quilted quilt and I had to move everything out of my sewing room to fit the quilt frame in it. Finding space for all the stuff in there took a lot of time! The frame barely fit across the room, I think I had two inches on one side and three on the other.
I try my best, but more often than I’d like I only remember friend’s birthdays on the actual day so the cards and gifts are almost always late! I think my latest delivery is going to be a wedding quilt for my aunty-in-law though, I’m only half way through the blocks and they got married last May… In my defence I did have a baby in Feb!
I have just restarted sending cards for birthdays – I’m thinking about sending out an annual card again. When I was working I sent first Happy New Year Cards, then it was Valentines or St Patricks Day cards (instead of for Christmas). I’ve not sent cards for over twenty years, but have enjoyed starting up again! Thanks for the chance!
Just wrapped up best friends birthday pressies, one month late as she is heading here to stay! It’s not the present its getting to the post that delays me! We are a little out of the loop down here in New Zealand sadly lacking in brick and mortar shops and rely on people like you to share all this creativity as you so generously do! Late — or never did….send a thank you note for a job interview. Oops! Didn’t get it. But I think a correspondence mini quilt would’ve saved the day.
I am not usually late in sending stuff, as 90% of the stuff I give, I give in person. I can remember one year my christmas present to my dad was a note saying I would sew a new seat for his tree stand ( for hunting ) for him. It got lost under the Christmas tree and he didn’t get it untill a month later.

Succulents still rocks too!!! My “Succulents” quilt is w/a longarmer now and I’m making some pillow toppers w/the scraps while I wait. So I’m about 18 months?? late getting that done.
Your mini is so cute. The latest I have sent out Christmas cards has been New Year’s Day. One of my friends saves hers and sends them on Valentine’s Day. I think that is a nice idea too.
Honestly, I just don’t send them if I am more than a few days late. It gets too embarrassing for me.

My first quilt was for a friend’s baby. He’s six years old and the quilt is still on the shelf in my sewing room. Oops!
Oh we are routinely months late giving birthday gifts… we blame it on living a few hours away from the recipients, but mostly we are just chronically behind!

I’m not usually late with things (i tend to be a stress and plan person!). However, last week I opened my desk drawer and found my birthday card for my niece that I forgot to send. It was a month late!
Sadly I am a very late at getting those kind of things out, if I don’t do it immediately it might be a while, I had a Christmas present for a girlfriend of mine, but wanted to include something else in it, so when she recently commented on liking my starfish pincushion I quickly made her one and sent off the rest of the Christmas gifts I had been saving for her, she just got it 2 days ago so the end of July 🙂
I’m two years late on a retirement quilt. It’s made I just have to quilt it.
So late they never got out at all. Started to make them myself for a real homemade touch but didn’t get enough done and didn’t want to send out unless I could send one to everyone on the list. Had the cards ready for the next year.
