HELLO INDIANA STATE PATTERN

Gather ‘round kids. I’ve got a story to tell. Before there ever was a Crimson Tate proper, meaning a fabric shop, I was living in Northern Minnesota trying to make a path for how I wanted my life to unfold. I was teaching high school art (Go Hilltoppers) and making stuff. And while this isn’t a story about the Harriet Headband, although it is also a legendary tale in my history as I was sewing those beasts day and night, it’s about how the Hello State pillows were born. I would set-up my lil’ folding table at every church bazaar and craft fair that would have me to sell a variety of sewn goods. And in wanting to spruce up my display in a stroke of genius, I sewed a Lake Superior shaped pillow purely as decor. That little beauty took me down the path of sewing lots of shaped pillows from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and eventually my home state of Indiana. One time, I sewed a Colorado for a friend who wanted one. Colorado is definitely a beginner state .
